10 Days Masai Mara Serengeti Migration Safari
Day 1: Arrival – Masai Mara
Pick up from your hotel/airport if arriving early and drive along the floor of the Rift Valley to Maasai Mara National Park arriving at the camp in the afternoon for lunch. Afternoon game drives followed by dinner and overnight stay at Mara Maisha Luxury Tented Camp
Day 2: Full day in Masai Mara National Park
Full day spent exploring the park in search of the big 5. Morning and afternoon game drives are offered. Optional hot air balloon safari can be arranged at an extra cost of US$ 490 per person. Dinner and overnight stay at Mara Maisha Luxury Tented Camp
Day 3: Full day in Masai Mara National Park
The Mara offers wildlife in such variety and abundance that it is difficult to believe: over 450 species of animals have been recorded here. You will easily see lions, rhinos, hippos, crocodiles, giraffe, wildebeests, zebras, buffalo, warthogs, hyenas, jackals, wild dogs, buffalo, leopard, many kinds of antelopes and elephant.
It is in the Mara that perhaps the most spectacular event of the natural world takes place. This is the annual migration of millions of wildebeest and zebra from the Serengeti (Tanzania) in search of water and pasture. Following on their heels are the predators of the savanna- lion, cheetah, wild dog, jackal, hyena and vultures
Day 4 : Masai Mara - Serengeti National Park
Early morning wake up followed by breakfast. Depart at 7.30 am for Isebania/Sirari on Kenya / Tanzania border to clear immigration and customs formalities and vehicle exchanges between the Kenyan and Tanzania tour guide drivers. Then depart for Central Serengeti to arrive late afternoon at your camp. Dinner and overnight stay at Central Serengeti Luxury Camp.
Days 5: Serengeti National Park
Breakfast at the Camp. Morning and afternoon game viewing drives. The wildlife defines the Serengeti - countless zebra, buffalo, gazelle, wildebeest, and other species make it their home. The terrain is the main stage for the great wildebeest migration, an awesome spectacle involving millions of these beasts. Dinner and overnight stay at Central Serengeti Luxury Camp.
Day 6 :Serengeti National Park - Ngorongoro Crater
Breakfast at Central Serengeti Luxury Camp is followed by morning game viewing drives in the Serengeti National Park as we head to the southern plains of Serengeti National Park. Lunch is taken en route to Ngorongoro Conservancy. After a brief stop at Olduvai Gorge to see the site of the discovery of Homo zinjanthropus we continue to the Ngorongoro highlands climbing to the altitude of 8,000 feet.
Dinner and overnight stay at Ngorongoro Wild Camp
Day 7 : Ngorongoro Crater
Breakfast at the camp before proceeding to the exterior of the crater reaching its rim and here your first glimpse of what has often been referred to as the “8th Wonder of the World." and with your picnic boxes descend to the floor of the crater for a full day Ngorongoro Crater tour. The Ngorongoro crater is the world’s biggest whole volcanic caldera at 8300 sq km and is arguably the most stunning arena. Picnic lunch boxes will be served by the hippo pool.
Dinner and overnight stay at Ngorongoro Wild Camp
Day 8 : Ngorongoro - Lake Manyara
Breakfast at the Ngorongoro Serena Safari Lodge, Then transfer to the Lake Manyara Serena safari Lodge. Spend the morning using the recreational facilities offered at the Lodge. Lunch at the Lodge followed by afternoon game viewing drives in the park. Dinner and overnight stay at Ngorongoro wildlife lodge.
Day 9 : Ngorongoro – Lake Manyara.
Breakfast at the Ngorongoro Serena Safari Lodge, Then transfer to the Lake Manyara Serena safari Lodge. Spend the morning using the recreational facilities offered at the Lodge. Lunch at the Lodge followed by afternoon game viewing drives in the park.
Day 10: Lake Manyara Serena Safari Lodge- Arusha – Nairobi
Breakfast at the Lake Manyara Serena Safari Lodge. After breakfast depart to Arusha and onto the Tanzania/Kenya and border point at Namanga for custom and immigration formalities and vehicle exchange. Thereafter continue to Nairobi arriving late in the afternoon at the air port.
Start Nairobi – end the tour in Nairobi
